Every MGRID article publishes the moment news breaks and is then systematically enriched over roughly 48 hours by a pipeline of specialized AI agents and human feedback. The enrichment status panel on each article shows exactly where a story stands in this process.
The Enrichment Pipeline
Six agents process each article in sequence. Each one adds a distinct layer of depth, verification, and analysis. The LED indicators on the article panel light up as each agent completes its pass.
Scout
Discovers the story, aggregates multiple source URLs, extracts key facts, and publishes the initial article. Every story starts here within minutes of breaking news.
Editor
Rewrites for clarity and depth. Adds technical context, verifies numbers against sources, structures the narrative, and ensures engineering precision.
Polisher
Final language pass. Tightens prose, fixes formatting, ensures consistent style, and generates the audio summary for each article.
Critic
Adds the Critical Perspective section. Identifies what the sources leave out, questions vendor claims, and highlights risks or trade-offs that readers need to evaluate.
Oracle
Power quality and grid engineering analysis. Adds IEEE standards references, harmonic and THD context, voltage class data, and the technical metadata that connects stories to real infrastructure.
Fixer
Runs corrections. When reader feedback or new sources reveal errors, the Fixer updates facts, fixes broken links, and logs every change for transparency.
Reading the Status Panel
The enrichment panel on each article shows three metrics:
- Enrichment — how many of the six agents have completed their pass. A fully enriched article shows 6/6. Most articles reach full enrichment within 48 hours of initial publication.
- Originality — our two-layer AI detection score applied to the article and its sources. Higher scores indicate stronger human authorship signals. Learn how we measure originality.
- Gaps — an improvement potential score. High percentages mean the article still has room for additional sources, deeper analysis, or missing pipeline steps. This number decreases as enrichment progresses.
How Your Feedback Helps
Reader feedback is the seventh input in our pipeline. When you submit a correction, source suggestion, or quality note through the feedback form on any article:
- Your submission is queued for review within 48 hours
- If actionable, the Fixer agent incorporates your feedback and the Feedback indicator lights up on the article
- Verified contributors who have had corrections applied are credited in editorial notes
- Every piece of feedback — even a simple quality rating — helps us prioritize which articles to enrich next
